Is my money safe?

Yes. Credit unions, like other financial institutions such as banks or building societies are members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).  The purpose of the FSCS is to protect your money, providing you with automatic protection of up to £85,000 should your chosen bank, building society or credit union collapse and be unable to refund you themselves. Should this occur, you will normally be paid out within seven days of the failure.

The FSCS is funded by the financial services industry and free to consumers. For more information, please click here.

Please note that there is a £5 administration fee charged every year at the end of September. We charge this due to the fact that we are a small, not-for-profit organisation.
